Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re new to therapy or coaching, it’s okay to have questions. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but clarity helps everything feel a little lighter. Here are some of the things people often ask before getting started.

  • Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes, with extended 90-minute sessions available for deeper or blended work. Couples sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes, depending on your needs and goals. I also offer occasional intensive one-off sessions — typically between 90 minutes and 3 hours — for couples or individuals who want to focus on a specific issue in depth, gain clarity quickly, or create a breakthrough within a single sitting.

  • Yes, I work with clients worldwide through secure video sessions. Online therapy offers the same depth and connection as in-person sessions, and many clients appreciate the privacy and flexibility it provides. If you’re new to online therapy, I’ll walk you through how to create a confidential, comfortable space before we begin.

  • Yes. Emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships are essential for everyone. I work with men both individually and within couples sessions, supporting them to understand their emotions, communicate effectively, and build stronger connections.

  • Mother–daughter relationships are at the heart of my work, but they’re not the only family dynamic I support.

Yes, I specialise in Mother–Daughter Coaching—a unique approach to healing the first bond that shapes how we love and relate throughout life. However, I understand that sometimes one person may be ready while the other isn’t. If your mother or daughter isn’t open to attending, you can absolutely begin this work individually.

I also work with sibling relationships and other parent–adult child dynamics—including sisters, father–daughter, and father–son relationships—where there’s a desire to repair connection, rebuild trust, or create healthier boundaries.

I’ve supported many families successfully through these processes. Each situation is unique, so clients are accepted on a case-by-case basis to ensure readiness and a good fit for this type of work.

  • Yes—it’s one of my main areas of expertise. I support couples at every stage—dating, premarital, married, or separated— to strengthen communication, rebuild intimacy, and deepen understanding.

I also work extensively with interracial, intercultural, and interfaith couples, helping them create a shared family culture that honours both partners’ identities and values.

  • Yes. I offer Singles Coaching for those ready to date consciously and Divorce & Transition Coaching for those rebuilding after separation. Both integrate therapeutic insight with practical tools to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your patterns, and create a new beginning from a place of clarity and self-worth.

  • Therapy and coaching both support emotional growth, but they serve slightly different purposes:

Therapy helps you heal from past experiences, explore emotions, and build deeper self-awareness.

Coaching is more forward-focused—designed to help you set goals, build confidence, and take aligned action in relationships or life transitions.

In practice, my work often integrates both, combining therapeutic depth with coaching clarity to support you holistically.

  • That’s okay—many of my clients have had previous experiences that didn’t quite fit. My approach is integrative and relational, which means we’ll take time to build trust and work in a way that feels right for you. Therapy works best when it feels like a collaboration, not a performance.

  • You can still begin the work alone. Individual therapy can be just as transformative, helping you shift patterns, strengthen boundaries, and create ripple effects in your relationships—even if others aren’t yet ready to join.

  • Absolutely. I’m racially and culturally attuned, and I’ve worked with clients across Africa, the UK, Europe, the US, Australia, and the Middle East (including Dubai and the wider Emirates).

We’ll explore how culture, migration, and identity shape your experiences of love, belonging, and self-expression—with curiosity, compassion, and deep understanding.

  • Therapy can sometimes bring strong feelings to the surface—that’s part of the healing process. I’ll always pace our sessions with care so you feel grounded and safe, never overwhelmed. We’ll go as slowly or deeply as you’re ready for, and I’ll help you regulate emotions as they arise.

  • All sessions are strictly confidential in line with BACP ethical standards. The only exceptions are if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when disclosure is required by law. I’ll explain confidentiality clearly in our first session so you always know exactly what to expect and can feel secure in your sharing.

  • Yes. Alongside my one-to-one and couples work, I facilitate group circles and reflective sessions for organisations, teams, and community groups. These sessions create space for honest conversation, emotional awareness, and connection—whether in professional settings, women’s circles, or wellbeing programmes.

Themes often include communication, boundaries, emotional resilience, and navigating change in healthy, authentic ways. Each circle is bespoke and can be designed for your group’s specific goals or event theme.

  • Yes, I’m available for keynotes, panels, and interactive workshops that focus on emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, and generational healing. I’ve spoken at events across corporate, wellness, and creative industries—helping audiences reflect on how we love, lead, and connect in today’s world.

If you’d like to explore booking me for your next conference, wellbeing week, or private event, please reach out via the Contact Page with your theme and audience in mind.

  • I offer a limited number of concessionary slots for clients in genuine financial need. These spaces are reviewed periodically and will be listed here when available. If you’d like to be considered, please reach out and we can discuss current availability.
